I would very much like to chat with you if we get online at the same time. About innerHTML, the main problem with it is that it is still a non-standard hack. Don't get me wrong, I love it to death but if the W3C doesn't bless it, then we really should try to avoid it. I'm sure InI can elaborate more on the pitfalls associated with it.
