A few friends at work have persuaded me to sign up for http://www.myspace.com. The whole service itself is very imature and so are the people that use it. Excluding myself

When it came time to modify my page I found it very difficult and limiting. Firefox's WebDeveloper Extension helped me SOOOO much by letting me see the class names. Anyway. Here's what I have so far. http://profile.myspace.com/users/5058465 Just an hour or so of updated CSS. (trust me it's a pain to work with)

I would like to offer up a challange to see who can do the best layout with this limited crappy and just plain pathetic setup. If anyone is interested just list your new page link so we can follow your progress. I'd say by July 20th we can call this contest quits and cancel our accounts with them. I'm just really curious as to what people can do with this service from a design point of view.

EDIT: Just incase you are wondering. Once you sign up you can edit your CSS by placing it in the "about me" section of your page. make sure you start with <style type="text/css">. Took me a bit to figure that out.

No Bites?

I'll bump this just one time and then I'll get the point.
Even if you just want to comment on my design that'll work for me.

The poster has demanded we remove all his contributions, less he takes legal action.
We have done so.
Now Tyberius Prime expects him to start complaining that we removed his 'free speech' since this message will replace all of his posts, past and future.
Don't follow his example - seek real life help first.

well.........i don't know how much freedom you have with that site but it is kind of defeating the purpose of CSS really.

that is still a table layout, so there really wouldn't be much that someone could do to change the "design" of the page

Last I heard they disabled all ability to use javascript on any part of the page. So that's out of the question. You can apply your own style script by placing it in the 'about me' section. That's how you have to do it, that's how i did mine. And I just thought it could be a challenge, more than normal, by being giving a limited canvas to work with, even if it does include tables. And I totally agree and understand not wanting to do it because you'd have to sign up. Still if anyone is interested in trying it please post it here or let me know on my own webspace that you are doing it.
