i have been trying to get an old pc working for someone and was having trouble with the mouse (usb) installation, i ran the usb config program and after about a minute, the machine re-booted, then when searching for primary/secondary drives could not find any. NONE! according to the startup there is no HDD installed on the machine.

i ran fdisk from win98 boot disk and it could not open necause there was no drive to 'fdisk' on.

i have never seen this happen before. if anyone copuld explain it to me it would be great. if someone could tell me how/ if i can fix fix it, it would greatly be appreciated

this question is not related to the bios question, thanks

We have done so.
Now Tyberius Prime expects him to start complaining that we removed his 'free speech' since this message will replace all of his posts, past and future.
Don't follow his example - seek real life help first.
