Anyone have any experiece on doing 3D movies to plug into a website? I am looking for something on Windows platform to do this. It's just to do a 3D rotational movie of some products. |

CPrompt: I haven't much experience producing 3D on a PC. Most of my 3D work has been on Silicon graphics machines. You will need a 3D program to create the images for your movie. Bryce, SoftImage, and Alias are three you might try. Once you have created the movie in the 3D software, then you can create the movie in what ever format you like. |

If you could render something in a 3D prog and snap X number of images you could build a slider in flash to do the same thing. This would be good because most people already have flash. And then there are programs built specifically for Flash that do this. Check out Electric Rain. I've also seen a prog called IPIX which uses JAVA but that is better for perspective views with real images. But I guess this is off topic because you are asking for Quicktime itself. But these are possible alternatives. |

Actually, from my experience, I find that more people have Quicktime than Flash. |
