No i guess not. You are probably uploading the files from your site to your webhost through ftp. Now wehen you view the site with your browser pictures are not showing up. Right ok? now look at the names from you pictures. Some will be named wrong, remember most webhosts are case sensitive an windows is not. Thus while on windows the following names are the same: test.gif , TEST.gif ,TEST.GIF ,test.GIF on you webhost they are four different files. So when you use test.gif as background image but the image is called TEST.GIF or test.GIF on your webserver it won't load.
