The label tag (it's not a command, just a tag) does just that - labels a form element. It doesn't have anything to do with things being checked or not... As far as I know, there is no way to make it apply to more than one element - and there's no reason to. If you want a label for a group of elements, you use the <fieldset><legend></legend></fieldset> tags. As far as the mysql issues go, I would suggest finding a resource on SQL itself first, and then apply your understanding of the language to the particular implementation that is MySQL.
