I am not to sure if the extension or something else did me in. I installed it. Restarted the Browser and it told me that FB was installing the extension and it might take a few minutes ..... !

It was still installing after an hour. I uninstalled all versions of FB and got the newest version . When I click on finish on the install process. It brings up the browser - blank screen - I can not type in the URL Bar nothing goes. Closing the Browser takes me back to the install extension thing. I have rebooted - did the Spybot thing, defraged - nada. Needless to say I am one very unhappy p-d-off ole gal here . Going back to painting baseboards to let off steam.

Anyone any ideas ????

I simply press the mouse wheel button when I want to open a link in a new tab.

sib -

I could imagine that after uninstalling you might need to find your profile folder and delete that as well as the extension are stored in there most of the time.

On my HDD it's located at
C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\Tilo\Anwendungsdaten\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles

If you can't see the "application data" folder there's an option called "alle dateien anzeigen" if you go to the control panel -> ordneroptionen -> ansicht -> versteckte dateien und ordner.

Sorry if these instructions don't make too much sense for anyone else
