I am going on an interview for a company that is creating .NET services. Does anyone have any advice about what I should know? Any good buzz words for me? Anything at all relating to this would be appreciated.

All interaction I've done with .NET solution providers points me to that knowing Visual Studio .NET inside out is almost a pre-requisit for a job. The majority of .NET coders I've bumped into only, and I mean it, only use the drag'n drop functionality plus the properties-boxes to produce code... And this is ppl involved in the banking industry... Shudder.

This is a real quote from an answer on optimising a code snip for db-accesses: "Microsoft provided this code, there is no way I or anyone could optimize that..."

Granted, that was not from the brightest crayon in the box and there are a lot of good M$ coders but still...

Yeah....I did my internship in a .Net shop just like that. Which explains my signature quote:

/* Sure, go ahead and code in your fancy IDE. Just remember: it's all fun and games until someone puts an $i out */

None of you are making me feel at all good about this... at least it gives me an excuse to visit NYC. Thanks for the information, that was actually exactly the type of information I was looking for.
