Can someone point me to some good site(s) that discuss the concepts of common web standards, not necesarry syntax, as i know www.w3c.org, i mean ideas, benefits and similar subjects.
I found nothing on Zeldman's site or on www.w3c.org (aside from the whole specs)...
Thanks

Check these out :

In fact, from these sites you should be able find all the informations you need about web standards.

Hope that helps,

I always get slammed - I just never remember the faq section.

A good site for beginners wanting to learn the compliant way to do things is http://www.htmldog.com , I realise this isn't what this thread is about, although you may find something interesting there since it is also a blog about standards.

I think the next version of the asylum should have an automated 'related/relevant posts' feature so that in each thread it links to similar threads (making use the search indexes I would assume) - just a thought tho

Wow! that's an excellent suggestion. All the the links to the related posts/thread could be at the bottom of the pages, in a separate DIV. These related posts/thread could also appear in the FAQ.

Actually, marking a link as "related post/thread" could be as easy as adding a * after the [ url ] UBB code. The problem of updating the "related post/thread" table when a post is added, edited or removed could be solved by using a counter, and updating it accordingly to the changes made in the post. And to delete the records once their counter hits zero.

Well, it's really worth a post in the Getting to know the Grail mate!
