Topic awaiting preservation: Silver Metal

Hey guys, I am pretty n00bish with photoshop but I want to ask you if you can give me a link or a file or even a guide that can teach me some basic stuff.

Sink stuff in (make it look 3d) for example and even more important is to right and paint stuff with metalic and silver color.

A simple google search for 'photoshop metalic text tutorial' would also yeild about 10,000+ results.

I often wonder why people see the need to ask for help looking for something that's so simple to find, but I guess they'd know that if they bothered to look in the first place.
