Hello and nice forums ,

I am creating a website for someone and they wanted to know how to update it. I use DW/Notepade to edit/create my stuff but he knows nothing of HTML. Is there anything he can download that is free to edit his site in view of design rather than code like in DW so it is easy for him?

Thanks, geKoz

As far as I know there is no free wysiwyg editor that's anywhere near DW that actually works. A very good HTML-editor that comes highly recommended is HTML Brauty bu our own Mr.Max: http://www.htmlbeauty.com/

To resolve the problem you might look into SSI or simple php include()
Using that you can give the client files that are "everything between <p> and </p>". That's what they download, edit and upload, just plain text and some <br> tags.
Then you call for these files from your HTML templates using SSI or include() to get the edited content into the site.

Another way might be to give them a webpage that allows then to open & edit HTML in a MS word sort of way. Take a look at HTML-area http://www.interactivetools.com/products/htmlarea/ to see if you can in some way create an editor for them.
