Topic: transparent background for photos (Page 1 of 1)

Hi,

Is there anyway I can make a picture's background ( an object on a coloured background or something ) transparent without losing the quality of the image ? not gif format because it ruins everything !

Does anybody know if there is a function or command in photoshop for example, that creates an effect similar to the chroma key in cinematography for photographs?

Hi zizucu; welcome to the photography section. As you have already posted this topic in the Photoshop forum, there is no need to post it again; it just gets confusing for people as they lose track of the replies to your question. Hopefully a Mad Sci will lock this one off for you so that people can concentrate on your other post as that is the more correct place for it .
