Topic: No time to design anymore....

Ok, I've been designing basic sites for a little while, and what I've come to realize is that I've set my standards based on what I see and read here which to me are pretty moderate. I've tried to abandon table designs, use CSS only, had my frustration moments, etc. but realized I don't have the time I used to have to fool around anymore.

I've seen some of the stuff the inmates have thrown together as "fun projects" or "take a peek at this" etc. and most of it amazes me. I have a friend of mine that asked me to design a website for his clothing company and I've tinkered with a few designs all of which I was very unhappy with. I know I'm taking a shot in the dark here but his company pretty much is a 2 man operation and he really just want's something simple with an "ooh, ahh" factor to it.

He's got about 20-30 designs that I shot pics of to place it it, he's not interested in selling anything online, just wants to feature his designs and his manufacturing of shirts, etc. Now as a graphic artists, he pretty much sucks. The existing logo he had just was horrible, and I redesigned something that took me all of 5 minutes and he was like "wow, that's the fattest logo I've ever seen.". Go figure.

What would one normaly charge to do a simple 4-5 page site for my homie? I've scraped my initial design for him and he made this to use. www.wayoutwestenterprises.com/pto/

Please don't slam the design, all I did was help him put what he wanted where.

4 or 5 page gig for a friend. I might do it for free, or maybe just charge a quick $100.

Can you post any photos of his clothing design work? Or at least describe it or give another designer's name that it's close to?

God, sorry for not responding earlier... I've pretty much abandond his site. He left me hanging after I did some trade for his and he stiffed me my shirts so thanks anyways.

On another note, one of my groups on my label is putting together a site for their band and again, I'm the default designer with no time on my hands.
Anyone care to take on a side project of very minimal magnitude? I will try and squeeze some $$$ out of them. I was just going to look at a few other artists websites and just make cheesy grabs of the format and fill in the blank with the group.
