I knew I had seen this before, and sure enough, a google search for 'ie "ordered list" css bug 1' returned a Zeldman entry as one of the results: http://www.zeldman.com/daily/0702b.html unfortunately, it has no answers. There were also a couple other forums where people had discussed this problem. The only solution/workaround was to put the list in a div and set the div's width instead of the LI's width. Sometimes, with IE CSS bugs, there are other CSS properties that can be set that somehow undo the bugs. Often, if this is the case, the CSS property that fixes it is completely arbitrary. Is there any way to explicitly state that the numbering should go up by one each time? Try any and all list-related properties to see if you can find a workaround.
