Doctor, electrician, fitter, repairman or personal bombsquad. So if you do smell gas in the kitchen or got bitten by a crocodile do not ask us what you should do about it.

Just use common sense and call the most apropriate form of help.

With other words do not ask what to do when:
- your curtains are one fire, just put some water over it and/or call the firemen
- you got bitten by something creepy and it hurts like hell, Call the doctor even if it costs your last penny, getting insane or paralysed or dead is always worse.
- you smell gass at the dryer, call the repair guy or the shop where you bought it.
- You see sparks coming from a 2 wires on the floor, switch of the power an call the electrician, or if you can do it safely repair it yourself.

If you do encounter some situation which could be dangerous for you or someone you know use the phone and call for help.

Ofcourse we can help you and learn with you and teach you and advise you etc.But probably none of us is close enough to you too drag you out the house when the dryer explodes or drive you to the hospital when your leg is all swollen and red....

what was the purpose and target of this thread ?

Recent threads such as someone smelling a gas-like smell coming from around their dryer, and someone getting bit by a spider and it hurting like hell wondering if they should go to the doctor.

Basically just a lack of common sense in recent threads. No offense to the people who are subjecting themselves to needlessly dangerous situations.

Touch them to see if they are hot.

Or, you know how when you touch your tongue to the top of one of those little square 9v batteries to "test" them? Do that with the sparkly wires to see if it really is electricity.

wallaby - actually, that one is okay, provided you scan the rash and make some sort of javascript animation with it first....

or map it as a texture onto a 3d model and animate it asking your question. That's always cool.

Or record you scratching it, turn it into a song and make a flash movie with it wearing funny clothes.
