Haha, I love it.

irony or hypocrisy ?

Microsoft didn't do that. Some poor guy working for Microsoft did that. Probably because it was a lot easier than going through whatever process was necessary to get his superiors to actually buy the software he needed.

And now he'll probably be fired for doing something that everyone who pointed this out has probably done themselves.

Still, the public won't really make the difference and that kind of news doesn't help MS popularity and credibility.

However Sony should double check if they are up to date with their licences before even thinking to engage some pursuits for a deprecated version of their product.

heck it might not have even been a Microsoft employee, they probably got the sound files from some sort of purchased sound library.
