Hi this is my first post.

I'm trying to make a logo for a website and I can only get it to look like this:



I want to make it so the grey is transparent so you can only see the words but so far im failing

bad quality picture but you get the idea

How do I make a transparent graphic?

sweet i did it just need to do it again now so i can sort the edges as i cut it a tad to short

For the edges to come out right, you need to make sure there is a transparent background in the .PSD before you save for web, and you need to make sure you set the matte color properly.

Also - Microsoft is known to get upset when their material is used without permission...

You could just try to colour the area around the text black if it's only going to be on a black background.
