Topic awaiting preservation: Exporting to China

Is anyone familiar with the procedures when exporting to China, from the US. I'm doing a project, in which we are planning on exporting wine to China and even though we have been looking for a long time, we can't seem to find anything concrete, when it comes to what kind of documents you need for the trade. Does anyone know anything about this, or can you refer me to a website? We're exporting bottled wine, 12 bottles in a case, all bottles contain less than 2 litres. It's red dry wine.

I imagine the documentation for China is the same regardless of the country of origin of the shipment.
Another option is to call your Ministry of Trade and get information on commercial trade with China.

Exporting to china will be pretty tough i guess, lots off papers to be moved from here to there and back again, even more stamps required, more papers, finding a good shipping agent hiring translators, even more papers and more stamps too,
finding an chinese partner, etc.


Ask other companies who export to china about advice.

We export to China - my brother in law is from China.

It still requires a good"working" knowledge of who is responsible for what, and being able to "prod" the right people, to give you the correct stamps and approval. Through his family, we have all that.

With that aside, it is the same as any other international trade.
