A final note: the whole thing was a spontaneous impulse I had two days ago, including the three new applets (fire & blobs revamped + metaballs). A few tricks are involved, but it is almost 100% compatible with Op, Moz and IE (with casual difficulties on Opera, unidentified cause..), but it degrades well. Without java, the front applet is just a picture. without js, the popups are simply left as normal, plain html links.
