Well I've seen double posts before...never a double thread before though.
To answer your question, at least in part, I think FrontPage can accomodate you without needing to insert any codes. I haven't used it in a while, but I think there isa way. Just read the help files that come with it and you might find your answer. And the best of luck in your first venture into web design!

i have looked into that, they have something like adding a scrolling text box to a form, but thats not what i am wanting to do, i dont think anyways......

Heres some examples of what i am wanting to accomplish...

keep this background image non moving , with a table i make to the left in the black

OR, make this scrolling table below like i did.... I didnt make it on my own , i copied from a free layoutwebsite, i liked this alot, just that the scrolling table wasnt wide enough for me, it was just to small

see below

oh yeah and dont make fun of me, LOL , Britney is cool, LOL

bdrakesmith: Hello and welcome in the Asylum.

Honestly I've never used FrontPage, but I can't count the number of persons who complained about it and the code it generates.

If you're new to web design, you should try to learn the good practices directly. Tables are here to display tabular datas ( e.g. charts, stats, ... ) not to position the content of the pages.

If you use the markup languages ( HTML and CSS ) wisely, it's really easy to achieve your goal. You only need to have a clean and simple structure ( the HTML markup ), put the each section of your page in a DIV and set the presentation ( the CSS ).

That way your "scrollable table" is in fact a simple DIV with the CSS property overflow set to "scroll" or "auto".

Hope that helps,

IF however you want an standards compliant wysiwyg (waht you see iis what you get) editor i suggest you to look into xstandard. This puppy can be combined with one of the best browsers you could get :firefox which you need for testing anyway....
