Topic: CSS help anyone?

hi there
well, i didnt really know whether to post this in the JS forum or here, but i guess its more a CSS thing. here is what i would like to do:
please go to the website of the german metal band rammstein.
what i want to do is quite similar. i want the content of my current thespacebetweenus.com style (39) to scroll like it does over there (also below my header). does anyone have an idea how to do this? (probably a site with some helpful code?)
i had a look @ the code of the rammstein website, to figure out which technique they used, but without success
any help would be very much appreciated!

On the Rammstein ( awesome design btw ), they position everything but the content with: position:fixed; that way every element having this rule remains at the same position.

I've been fiddling with fixed and absolute positioning a little lately and find it wicked cool for just such things on non-centered layouts, I think it'll be the Next Big Thing you'll start seeing.

I did the serveit.org layout using absolute positioning and finished the entire site in less than 2 hours, markup, css, graphics, copy writing, everything. I know that may be all-too-apparent but it was satisfying nonetheless I think if I went back and put in javascript/php/gd image replacement on all the headlines (another 30 minutes at best) it'd be a hummer!

My blog Sunday Of My Life uses absolute positioning for the header and sidebar to achieve the cutaway effect I have there

Am I the only one seeing this, or does the Rammstien site scroll really jerkily?

Skaarj: Nope, Gecko has a hard time to render the pages with a fixed background. The sluggish movement is even more noticeable with the mouse wheel. Opera is way faster in this case ... and actually many cases of intensive update of the display.

Wow that Ramstein site is Brilliant. I am just now (finally) getting into CSS and that iframe-ish scrolling with CSS (I know its not like an iframe..just looks that way) is awesome. I definately want to dabble in something like that. Having a hard time getting started though with good tuts for CSS etc. (complete beginner)

Anyway, sorry to be off topic. I really like the look of your Space between site..very appealing to my eye..works good in Firefox also.
