salut!

i wanted to ask if you would be so kind and help me with a presentation about paris: what i need is a very easy (very easy!) text about paris (sightseeing stuff, inhabitants, crime rate, etc. etc.). does anyone know where i could fine something like this?

honestly I don't even know where you could find these infos.
Probably on the official web site of the city of Paris : www.paris.fr, btw there's also an english version. Notice that in fact there's only a little part of the site that exist in english ... and I doubt you'll find the crime rate there.

You could also visit the site of the Tourism office of the city of Paris, and wikipedia: paris

About the crime rate, a quick search lead me to a comparative table between the USA and France with some datas gathered in 2003 and 2004, including the crime rate for 100,000 inhabitants ( 1,7 in France / 5,6 in USA ) and the number of detainees for 100,000 inhabitants ( 85 in France / 702 in USA ).

well, the reason why i needed this is a presentation in french (for school - we learn french at school, but its a hard language, imho )

It seems to me that English is far easier to learn than French. The French conjugation must be a nightmare to learn

My kid uses this factbook for reports on countries. I don't know if it has anything specificially about Paris or not, but may be of some help.
