Topic: Website showing typical layout sizes for different browsers? (Page 1 of 1)

I wasn't sure where to put this, and I tried searching around but couldn't find it..someone probably know a good site, or even knows the value I need..and sorry for such a dumb question..

Basically I need to know the generic size for a layout that wouldn't cause scrollbars in IE (or another browser..so I need the lowest value) so I can crop my layout a bit so there are no scrollbars (except in divs where intended)

I tried using the overflow: hidden but that didn't work right in IE (I hate IE now, after getting Firefox I have had my eyes opened :P)

The res I am shooting for is 1024x768.

I COULD just crop my layout til the scrollbars go away..but I want to have an understanding of it..and also my browsers customization makes them diff then usual..

Okay sorry I ranted so long..hah..it's early I am half asleep..

Use an trial acount for www.browsercam.com, then you can atually see the scroll bars apearing. When you aim for more specific browsers in a specific resolution you can check a couple of times whitin 24 hours. When used eficient it's a very handy tool.
