Ive got this problem..

I have a psd width several layers and a background layer. In one of the layers I have luminosity.

Here is the problem:

I want to save the luminosity layer with the color it gets from the backround layer to a new file..

How do I do that? Ive tried merging to a sub layer but then it looses the luminosity..

You catch my drift?

Or, you can put the required layers in a layer set and drag the set into your new document. (This will retain the layers for tweaking)
Or, you can create a new layer (CTRL+SHIFT+ALT+N), turn off all the layers you don`t need, and merge visible (CTRL+SHIFT+ALT+N) and drag the new layer into the new document.
