What multimedia project is it going to be? Is it going to be online or on CD support? Roughly: - Flash is of course alright for animation and rather ok for video (Macromedia have just developped a new plug-in, I think, have a look... don't really know what it's about). Flash files are compiled and much lighter than Director files, so definitely go for Flash if you plan to put your project on the web - I prefer Director big time :) it is, in my opinion, much more powerfull and easier to use (more instinctive) and more stable with video and sounds. Talking about sounds, it's much easier to synchronise sound and images with Director than with Flash, for example. It is the best tool to use if you're making a CD-Rom, as far as I'm concerned. You can also download loads of usefull plug-ins to help you work better and faster (I'll try and dig some stuff out later if you wish). Tell us a bit more about the project though, you'll probably get more relevent advice. This will also give the others time to tell me if I talk crap;) Hope this may help... Cheers
