Not sure where to ask this, but this section should work.

I was just going through my webtrends report for my new site. Upon reviewing error information there seam to be a lot of 404 error that I don't understand.

The referer's are for existing pages, but the target is to a folder labled as trans_filler or in the case of my subdomains directory news/tran_filler.

Not the only thing I can figure is it was client request for a translation of the requested page, which doen't exist at this time.

Is this what is generating the error, or is this casued by something else. Like IE request for a Favicon.ico. Somthing I can easyly fix or ignore.

jstuartj,

Since the referrers are your own pages, I can only think of two things that my cause that.

1) Have you checked the links in the referring pages to make sure they don't reference the trans_filler directory?

2) Have you looked in the .htaccess file on your site to see if you are doing a Rewrite that would redirect a request to the trans_filler directory?

It might help if you could post a couple of lines from the log and if you could give us a link to the site.

Thanks for the advice, I found it. It was embeded in the the .asp CMS. Which, I missed it when I did a search of the template code, and content. Must have missed it when I pick-up some code from a previous project. Though I got it all
