First exam in over 9 years in a subject I hate. Anyway I'm pretty up to date on most of this but I have one sample question that's got me. I thought variance always has to be positive due to being squared through yet I have this question. Three students were in a stats study group, A, B, C. To practice, A will calculate teh variance of a set of data and then B and C will interpret what the variance explains about the data. A tells them the variance is -10. What should B and C say about the data and/or about the variance? Any ideas? .:[ Never resist a perfect moment ]:.
