Phpbb, i don't run one but a friend does, don't allow for image uploads at present - based on their site's FAQ.

Are there any add-ons for phpbb that allow image uploads for a post?.

If not, i guess free sites like www.ephotohut.net would be the way to go?

Hi Poi
I was looking for a quick answer - this is not my B-board.
I was on the site, I checked the FAQ, not the Mods.

Can I post Images?
Images can indeed be shown in your posts. However, there is no facility at present for uploading images directly to this board. Therefore you must link to an image stored on a publicly accessible web server, e.g. http://www.some-unknown-place.net/my-picture.gif.

If they don't have an answer, well...I didn't look further. Thought someone here would have a workaround.

three is an "attachment mod" that would allow you to configure it for image upload and display in posts

As Mr Mabry and poin have said - it doesn't take a lot of digging:

http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=74505

I've installed it and it works fine.

I think you have to keep in mind that phpBB is open source and not a complete product like vB so it doesn't come ready rolle with all the bells and whistles most of which you won't use.

The best approach if you are going to use it on different sites is to install the MODs you want and then zip it up so you have really made your own distribution for future use.

Basically the beauty of it beign open source is that if you want to do anything with the baord someone will probably have already created a MOD and they are freely available. It does take a bit of extra work but it does result in a solid forum.

problem is: It's not his board. He won't be able to install extensions.

You will need to store your image on another webserver, and then post a link into the board, surrounded by
[ img] [/img] (removing the space)

digging doesn't give me much than that something is available.
available doesn't tell me squat.
