Very impressive. It is indeed, some sort of cake. To be more specific, it is a layered rice cake, with bean flour between the layers. The red comes not from raspberries, but from red beans (adzuki in Japan, I think). Still, that was the best guess yet. Here's the full pic, with the area you see above outlined in orange: [img]http://www.liminality.org/asylum/pow/71/suho_wtf2_full.jpg[/img] Number one turned out to be harder than I thought it would, but in retrospect, I suppose it makes sense. I would have no idea what that was if I didn't already know. This may be a bit anticlimactic, but it is, in fact, the wall of my house. It is a stucco-type finish, except not prickly and pointy like stucco. I'm not exactly sure what it's called.
