Geez, I'm fed up with all this bother. Now my site comes up fine in IE and Netscape but in Firefox it doesn't see the font or the backgrounds or the image floats on the css page. What the heck is going on?
Here is the url - http://www.growwheatgrass.com/
I'd really appreciate a bit of help with this,
Pam

Everything looked fine in my FF. What is it supposed to look like?

I take it it is not supposed to have a white bg...

The only thing I can see after watching the site in IE ( gasp ) and FF is the missing green border on the right of the navigation. You can fix it by adding width:110px; to the rule for .navbar.

Otherwise it'd be cool to do a face lift to the site. It seems it hasn't changed during the last 4years ( see the copyright ... and the markup )

Actually I fixed something in the css file and it's a bit better in ff now but in Netscape it is still screwed up. There is supposed to be a green line on the edge of the yellow navbar.
If you look at it in IE that's the way it's supposed to look. The navbar is 110 wide and the image is 110 wide. So it should be yellow with a green line on the right.
I'm really getting to hate Dreamweaver, it messes with the code without even asking.
Thanks for looking,
Pam

I've been 1minute faster

You mention Netscape, but which version do you use ?
Netscape 6+ use Gecko, the rendering engine behind FireFox and Mozilla so if the site works in FF it should work in NN6+
If you're using NN4 ( cough ), someone will have to install it to help you. AFAIR of the capabilities of NN4 there's nothing in your layout/design it can't render correctly.

As Poi mentioned, you need to specify the width of the .navbar.

It seems from my testing that the only problem is that the content is not pushing the div wide enough to show the full image.

Specifying the width forces it wide enough to show.

Personally I would just specify a 2-pixel green right-border in the CSS - that image is not helping the visual design at all.

OK guys, thanks a lot, I'll change the width in the css file.
As for the look of the site, I have changed it many times in the last 4 years but I don't change the date at the bottom because I want people to know how long I've been in business. And I just changed most of the markup this time to css. Originally it had font tags on every piece of text like everyone did 4 years ago.
Websites are not my passion, they are just a means to my passion, which is to get people healthy. I get a lot of compliments on my site actually.
But piddling around with all this stuff makes my head hurt so thanks a lot for your help,
Pam
