you need to type the actual character, not html enities, that's what's specifiying an encoding is all about. |

I see no way to sensibly distinguish what the user wants, which is the major hurdle for such a scheme. |

Well, as Poi said, what about altering the post edit function to be able to show changes with <ins> and <del>? This would possibly be done if the user wishes to see, say, the last revisions someone made to a post or somesuch. This requires extra database crunchiness, but Dreamhost aren't placing a limit on those kind of things these days |
