Very cool indeed,

www.terraexplorer.com is very similar and has higer resolutions, sometimes.
But the google images are more recent, you can clearly see our new white tiles in the backyard

It's not as good as NASA Worldview, which has MUCH higher resolutions. It's got a much nicer interface though. The downside is the satellite images around my home are so terrible I can't even see my block.

really? i just used both programs and i would say it's about the same if not the other way round.

i especially compared the Los Angeles area, cause i'm going there soon.
for example at the airport, with google you can make out single planes easily but with nasa you can view them only in the usgs pictures.

...10 minutes pass...

hmmm, that calls for a concrete comparison:

yepp, looks as if nasa is better.

After I posted that, I read on CNN that President Bush was evacuated I hope they dont come looking for me

Why would they blur out congress, but not the whitehouse OR the pentagon???

It's not technically blurred out it's just a side effect of all the hot air coming out of congress.

I'm quite scared by the fact that they have filed a patent claiming they can tell the Truth:

http://www.guardian.co.uk/international/story/0,3604,1509281,00.html

Combine this with their mapping technology, their hold over your email, access to all the information on the planet, etc. and.........
