SNMP's purpose is the discovery and management of network resources. Communication between end-nodes like what you're proposing is not really its game. I would suggest two applications that Discover via SNMP, and then share that discovery data through a TCP/IP data stream |

The problem I have right now, is that I don't have any hardware to talk to. So what I was trying to do was write a small app that could pretend to be the device(s) that I'll eventually be sending stuff to, which I was able to do, except that my fake device(s) use my own made up xml protocol instead of SNMP. |
