Are there any baseball fans here at the Asylum? I'm curious if anyone is interested in creating a team over at What If Sports. If no ones ever done it before it's a ton of fun. You get a budget $80M in open leagues, and you have access to draft just about any baseball player in MLB history. The rosters have stats on everyone going back to around 1880.

Like I said, its a ton of fun. If anyone has interest let me know. It costs $12.95 per team, but is well work it in my opinion.

I am indeed a huge baseball fan (I watched virtually every Braves game when I spent a year in the states), but alas, I'm very busy these days ;-(

ah.........that does sound like a good time. I just don't have the time right now either. Real bummer because I would love to something like that. My girlfriends brother is really into Fantasy Football and it sounds like fun too

TP - I'm sorry to hear that. I take it you weren't in an area where you could get the Mets games so you had to settle for watching TBS?

C:/ - I wouldn't say its a big time commitment but its something you need to sit down and check at least once or twice a day to stay competitive. Of course, the real fun is spending an hour on the site analyzing the days games - you play 3 per day. Fantasy Football is great too if you're looking for a good way to spend your Sundays.

Both are a ton of fun if you have a good size group of friends who are into sports. It's great to join together, put some money on the season for fun, and have a great time.

I'm currently in a Yahoo! league, which is definitely a huge morale booster here in Iraq. I'll be sure to check it out when I get a chance. I am wondering if it is worth it though, seeing as how we are approaching the 75% mark on the current season.

hey, back in 00 the Braves were indeed a great team - I still admire Andreas Galarraga ;-).

and no, I really was pretty far from NY. But at least the Mets aren't the )&#%)&#%)(*&#$ (*&#(*&$ Yankees.

Hating the Yankees, is a prerequisite to earning cool points.
