Moth: I'm still playing around, trying to get the right combination, but I'd like to both increase the gaussian and decrease the offset until I find something that actually looks like fading ripples. Hopefully I'll come up with something that works.

On a tangential note, does anyone know where the animated flag tutorial that Tao wrote is? The search isn't bringing it up.

Hi Moth, sorry, I'm only back here for a day and then I'm away for another week or so meandering around the countryside.
I think this Animated flag is the thread you were looking for, although I have changed my webspace since then so all of my images are missing.
I've been promising to write another flag tut' for over a year now, but what with being homeless for a while (amongst other things) I just have not gotten around to it. I feel a bit bad about this, I also want to do one for "keeps" over at PSG, so I guess I should really get going with it.

I like the entries so far this month I hope to have one ready before the deadline myself.

Bit of a layerfest really, as usual the larger version looks much better.

Enselitis - I *really* like the motion in that drip. Would be really great if it were anti-aliased, but it's still lovely as is.

DarkGardens tutorial Splatters, Splashes and Drips, oh my! really helped on the last one. Those tutorials over there at the GN are a constant joy. Im setting aside a day or three to go through yours DL Creating Shapes and Adding Depth.

I love Mahjqa's, the lightning looks great and I love the atmosphere.

I realise that this is too late but just could not resist the temptation to get at least one of these in.

That last sig of yours Mahjqa is gorgeous. The detail of the rain hitting the text and rolling down the sides is spot on, not to mention the drip ripples, I thought you were not going to mention that
I think it would look even better perhaps with a darker colour cast.
