I have now put up a first video lesson, covering pentatonic blues licks mostly. Difficulty level: Beginner.
I play a Squier '51 and Vox AD50VT - highly recommended by the way if you're on a budget.
Let me know what you think and how I can make them more useful.

Thanks

downloading now

Vox make some great amps don't they? Fulltone makes a great wah pedal but if you ever get a chance, check out Budda's Wah. It's pretty cool. Also, if you ever wanna check it out, contact these guys.
Those pedals will be available through them soon.

Cool site by the way. Very nice looking!!! Look forward to checking out the video

Hey that's great stuff!

I have this old J-strat I've had forever (beautiful maple neck) that I was about to get rid of but now maybe I'll dust it off and learn a lick or 2. That first part of your vid... the 'chunka chunka'... that's about as far as I ever got. Not really but you know what I mean.

Has your squire been modified? reason I ask... the controls look more 'tele' than 'strat' but it could just be my memory as I haven't seen a squire in a long time.

I had my j-strat re-wired so one of settings gives the same pickup arrangement as the tele..and it sounds not too bad.

But again...thanks for the vid!

NoJive, gimme first dibs on it if it goes up for sale I was building my own strat when I got married but had to sell all the custom parts I had to throw into family life. Had everything but the pickups purchased piece by piece and it was gonna scream. Now I've sold everything I ever had cept for one acoustic guitar I keep around to whip out and make my fingers hurt every now and then. I like heavy strings but they're mean to you if you don't play as much anymore.

we should all pass around tracks and have a blues jam.

oh, anybody interested in a newspaper I'm trying to find a home for? Or know anyone that would be? This has been sitting on my shelf for 15 years and needs to sit on someone else's for a while

I still have my first guitar. Its an Aria Pro2. Not a bad guitar. Made a few mods to it. Its being painted right now. Sanded it down, painted it, sanded off the finish on the neck, put new electronics in it. Should be screamin.

That sounds like fun. I can get a hold of a little 4 track recorder. I am pretty sure it can save the file as a .wav file

How much you want for the paper?

I have Adobe Premier, I can lay a track over a track wit dat

I just sold the paper actually, to a fella who runs an SRV museum, for slightly over the shipping cost, I hope. I'm constantly astounded by shipping costs these days =\

I do still have my Rolling Stone magazine with Jimi Hendrix on the cover. I'll never part with that, his 'fro actually obscures "ing St" so it just says "Roll one"

Hey guys, thanks for checking out the vids. I put 2 more up today. If you want a cheap but great guitar, run and get a Squier '51. That's what I'm playing in the clips. They go for under $150 - unbelievable deal! It's like a mix between a Telecaster and a Stratocaster. The tone is to die for.
