Hey i was just wondering if anyone knew of anybody that custom builds websites. Either on this forum or somewhere out there?

+ Is said website for your dear self? Or are you representing a group/company/charity???

+ What are your (technical) requirements?

+ What are your (financial) restraints?

+ What is your estimated time-frame (or are you merely 'testing the waters'?)

Its going to be a website about a local soccer team, but we're looking to attract alot more people. As to content i'm thinking we'd like to have your regular homepage that has info like upcomming games, upcomming events, news and what not. A photo/galery page, a multimedia (music/videos), a forum skinned to match the overall design of the site, and if possible a merchendise store ( selling stuff like our teams tracksuits, and offical jerseys of real teams, t-shirts and other soccer stuff)

financial requirements.....as cheap as possible

timeframe....i'm not in a HUGE rush...we're still in the early stages

Now you didn't specify how local this team is but I'd like you to consider a few things. Maybe you already have but just in case.

Website creation cost.
Maintenance. - And who's going to do the updating.
Hosting.
How you are going to advertise the site. (websites don't attract people by themselves)
What you need to do to make visitors come again. They must have a really good reason like alot of up to date news, large and frequently updated video archive (that requires an expensive hosting).

Website costs sum vs conventional arvertising (newspapers, posters etc). You probably need both.

Assemble all the content you want to see on the site. Including news/video sources, texts, photos, logos etc.
Think it through and have a really good idea of what you want.

Then find a designer. You're going to save alot of time and nerves that way
