Wasn't intended as spam or intended to raise the pagerank of our website.

I have posted quite a number of contracts on the asylum, even originally having the courtesy of getting the blessing of the Doc to do so before posting the first job. I have had some good response in the past.

I have been frequenting the asylum for a few years due to my hobby - web design. I registered as new name as FatRod is not very professional, which I assume is part of the reason why you thought it was a spam post.

Understand your reaction, as I know how frustrating the spammers must be but maybe a little rash....

I agree with you FatRod,
job opportunities have always been ok here, and you have posted such (with success, I believe) serveral times in the past.

Nevertheless, they're better suited to Outpatient Counseling where I now moved your original post (I unlocked it as well).


Skaarjj, I also don't see a reason for closing such a thread. Move it to the MS Lab where it won't be spidered and we can discuss right there - no harm in leaving it open.

My apologies FatRod. Such messages look very suspicious when a new account is registered in order to post them. If you wish, such things can be posted under your existing account. It lends it a little more credibility, since you're an established member. Again, I apologise for that.

My only fear about moving it to outpatient counseling is that it might not get seen. Honestly I check that forum fairly rarely.

Perhaps post it there as your HR alter-ego and a reference to it on the front page?

Aside from that - I think the reaction to the original post was way overboard. For one thing, he did say he was aka Fatrod in the post. For another - he was posting a job offering, at a forum that deals with the subjects that would be required for the job in question.
Even he was a brand new member, who had never been here before, how is that a bad thing?
