Hello world.
If you had to pick one Nine inch Nails song, and turn it into a video, which one would you choose?

There are sooooooooooo many.

Off the top of my head.... SIN

Jason

I saw them in concert last month. Pretty amazing. By far the best concert I have ever been to. I am hoping to see them again in the first part of the year as well. Much smaller venue, and its local so no driving!

I used to drive to NYC and back weekly, 6 hours each way. I would listen to The Fradgile often. And I had an opera type thing in my head for the CD.

I was up in Toronto last month and I saw them with Queens of the Stone Age, NiN put on a 2 hour set. It was really really good, they had video showing and great lighting.

I am pretty sure you pick any of their song and do a good video with it.

In EUROPE? Or in the US or Canada? I am considering a short trip to the US to get to see them, as I can't find a date in Europe on their site.

Mr. Reznor is a perfectionist, by the look of their videos, the image quality, etc.
You can "feel" he knows what he wants and does exactly what it takes to have it, no more, no less.

That pretty much sums up my concern, but "March of the pigs" or "Heresy", or "Big man with a big gun"
have the feel I am looking for... or maybe "Head like a hole"?

Actually, as I suggested in some other thread, some teacher had the stupid idea, in cg classes, to tell us
"I will try to limit you, to avoid work overloads on badly planned projects".
Two weeks later, he was gasping at my project which has by far exceeded what he wants and knows.

He looked puzzled when I mentionned implicit surfaces (metaballs and metasolids), never got to understand how I did my radial and twirly blurs,
he's funny.

Or not? Anyhow, I have to show him the real deal.

And I have to do it in a rather unconventional way <insert sly smile here>

Until then, some more better coccoon stuff for your eyes, hears and souls: http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=8283
Muhuhahahahaha..

Head Like a Hole was my first thought.

Definitely something off of Pretty Hate Machine.

I think that he has videos for a grand number of his projects.

I saw them in Canada. I was checking my local radio station's website about a GWAR show, and I noticed that there was a NiN QotSA concert (just happens that an early discussion of bands that both I and my GF wanted to see was pretty much these two bands, the rest having broken up years ago).

They are playing dates on the east coast USA until March.

If you are interested you might want to move quickly on this. I don't see NiN doing another tour for some time (a couple of years at the least). You never know you could get surprised, but based on past experience I wouldn't put money on it.

I am not sure I should thank you. Well, I should, but.. do I have the bucks atm? Not really. Do I have the time? NO. Do I want to go? Yeah! Will I? Certainly...

Hey, Dan.... that was the concert I was at. It was pretty amazing.... even with it being dry.

They are coming back this way to London at the John Labatts Center in March. Much smaller venue.

Of course tickets sold out in a crazy amount of time for the Air Canada center, so who knows how hard its going to be to get them in London. I am debating on dropping the loot for the fan club just so I can get them in advance. That and I think you get to see the sound check or something up close. I forget.

Is a much better page to look at. Stuff is listed there quite awhile before ticketmaster.
