You could have gotten the grail code in the past and drawn your own diagramms - instead of trying to get other people to spend their time on them. My time is too costly to spend time on something that will not improve things. You do not identify bottle necks by adding another abstraction layer. You use a profiler to find where your code is spending it's time. I have done that on the grail a long time ago. Your're right about me not being around forever - but finding someone who will serve the Asylum after me is either my or the Doc's job. Do not trouble yourself with it.
