Play around, lots of nifty things disappear or just aren't there.

Wonder why they don't have access to the highest zoom level for that particular area...
You can't really see anything but a normal layout of an airport with some unusually long runwawys, some of them obviously camoflaged to blend in better. I spotted 2 F16 fighters and some airdefense setups, that's about it. On the other hand, they would be really stupid to have something interesting outside during a satellite pass

I think they don't let you zoom all the way in on any bases (at least none that I've looked at). Check out Beale and you can see a U2 parked outside (looks like there's a U2 taking off too) and a couple others. Lackland has its typical bunch of transports out.

I took a look at Beale and spotted an SR71, 3 U2 (one just above the runway), a bunch of F16, one on the way to the runway.

Checked a bunch of other places to, civilian as well and you can't zoom in more there either. If you run google earth you can buy high res pics of areas, might be that's why.

Ramasax, if you mean the triangular patch to the left of my house, nope, just a regular garden of the neighbours you are a wee bit off n the scale here, we are talking of 45 feet on the long side of the triangle

I was talking about Area51, but it is also good to know that you don't have a baseball field nearby.

That does look like a Baseball field. I wonder when the Grey's will get into the majors.

This image from Google Earth "Special Edition" shows even more detail especially when it is tilted 45deg north to south. There are quite a few anomolies here.

I'm pretty sure the SR-71 at Beale is just a display (the diamond shaped platform in the middle of a lawn kinda gives it away ), there's an SR-71 on display at Lackland too. You can see a bunch of T-38's there (at Beale) too. The only ones that look like they might be F-16's there are under a hanger with the tail sticking out...

One of our inmates has a bit of a connection with the Blackbird.
