Oscar became even duller when Mel Gibson won something. I mean here we have two guys who a few decades earlier Ed Wood wouldn't have even considered for his "B" movies... and here they are winning Oscars!?... Sumpin ain't right. They don't even fit the bill as "Matinee Idols"...at least most of them could sing at least a few notes. What was good... were Oscars 'the science & technology awards' ... It's been airing on the Discovery Channel up here (Canada) on a repeating schedule so you might want to check local listings and catch that, if you haven't because it's really quite good. As for the Oscars.. the only thing I try to catch is the opening bit by whomever the host happens to be. Loading...
