The point was never that tables shouldn't be used, but that they should only be used when appropriate. Of course, I know that you are well aware that, Suho, but feel it important to reiterate. It's never about not using a particular element. It's always about using the element that is appropriate for the content. Going out of your way to mimic a tag with semantically poor methods is at least as bad as using tags for the wrong reasons.
