Having had personal involvement does not preclude ingorance. Do you imagine you are the only one who has been through such a situation? Bottom line is that this prejudice against men that so many people imagine is the problem - while clearly does exist to some extent, in some cases - is in most cases not a factor. The prejudice that many men suffer in these cases is caused entirely by their actions and NOT by their gender.
