Hello,
I am working on a site for my wife - http://www.woolenwhimsy.com

On the index page, within IE the description div does not stretch all the way across the page, yet it does in FireFox?
On the index page, within IE the desciption and image div line up, but in FireFox they do not? If I change it to fix it in FireFox, it is messed up in IE?

Also, on the jewelry page...In FireFox the image is for some reason not fitting inside of the div. You can see what I mean by shrinking the textsize. This does not happen in IE... This stuff is crazy...

I don't understand what is up with these damn browsers. I don't have Opera, so have not tested it on that, but I am sure there is something else different. Anyway, is this just a problem with the software, and something I should not worry about. I pretty much designed for IE, but if there is some way to fix the problem with the images fitting into the div properly on the jewerly page, that would be great.

Anyway, any other suggestions or comments would be great.
Thanks.
jeff

Hi again...
Ok, I have done some more work on the page...
I fixed the image stuff (float: left is like a God Send).

I am still have the following issues.

On the index page, within IE the description div does not stretch all the way to the right, yet it does in FireFox?
On the index page, within IE the desciption and image div line up, but in FireFox they do not? If I change it to fix it in FireFox, it is messed up in IE?

These things are pretty minor, but I would still like to fix it. I have tried several things, is anything missing...

link to css

Thanks again.

Hi Gilbert,

The page is looking much better. I don't remember the details of the way it looked the first time, but when I looked at it just now, i thought it looked much better.

Rather than having all the text flow down the page in the right column, make it wrap around the image and "Recent... " blocks so that it fills the width of the page once it has cleared the Recent Wool Products block. I notice this when I first open the page because I browse with the window set to 575px wide. Once I look at it full screen, the text body makes a nice column beside the other elements. You should make the text flow around the other elements for people with smaller window widths.

You might want to check at some accessibility sites to make sure the contrast between your lavender text and purple background is high enough that people with vision problems will be able to read it.

This is a nit-pick: I know you are trying to show the jewelry in the image, but is just drives me nutz when photographs cut off the tops of the model's head.

And finally, if this were my site, I would PhotoShop the image to remove the bra-strap on the model's left shoulder.

.

Thanks..
I have been thinking about the colors. My wife picked that stuff out. I will look into it.
As far as the text wrapping around. I didn't really like the way it looked when it wrapped under the image, but I will play with it some and see if I can get it work ok. It seems to work sort of strange, and I had to force it to stay to the right like that. But now that I look closer at it, its strange...In FireFox the "Add to Cart" Button shifts under the image at different screen sizes, but in IE it does not?.?

These damn browsers need to get together and have more meetings.

As far the pictures, my wife took those, they are our neice. I will try and get rid of that bra. I didn't really notice that...

And hey!!! don't be looking at my neice's bra..she is only 15!!!!
