Hey guys,
I used to post here way way back and then every now and then. Currently I'm in a job that is credited to everything you have all taught me, along with some things i've learned along the way. Anyway, I've sent a couple of new faces here to pic up the knowledge I've gained. I'm now an admin of a couple of heavily trafficted forums and doing web designing and SEO. But I thought of something recently that I know I cannot present to my forums because they are not mature enough and not on the same level of thinking as everyone here.

I'm christian and I love Jesus and all he has done for me. I know Jewdaism(sp?) views Christ as just another apostile. I've was raised catholic but I hold little belief in the structure of the religion.

I'm more interested in alternative religions. Like how Jewish people view Jesus. Are there people that view Peter or Mark as the "son of God". I'm not looking to change my beliefs I'm just looking for the span of beliefs between religions.

Not just the big ones like Jewish, Catholic, Muslim, Buddist. Or even Pentacostal (sp?) Baptist, Othrodox..ect..
Does anyone know optional religions that are not mainstream

Here is a link to a site that I have found informative. There are many, many different religions out there. If you are looking to explore Beliefnet is a good place to start. For the less "mainstream" religions - click on the More Faiths link on the left hand side.

Wow, I was posting to recommend some small texts, little $2/3 paperback study booklets written by Zola Levitt, a Jewish Christian that might help you with your lack of understanding concerning the relationship between Jewish/Christian/Judaic... and his web site says he died about a week ago

I may attend his memorial service. He's got some creepy distribution avenues but I've found his writings and understanding of the Jewish Messiah to be very enlightening, and an upright man.

sad day for me, this guy was a studious teacher, thanks for dropping by MalFunkShun

I never post in this section, but thought I would here. You people are too deep for me

Anyway, I wanted to learn a bit about other religions while I was in college and read this and that and still didn't quite get some of the other religious beliefs. So...I went to their place of worship to learn. I went to temple for a little while and then went to mass for a little while, and so on. No better way to learn than coming straight from the teacher IMO.

Taoism is neither an alternative or optional religion

but it has helped to quieten the burning rage inside me over the years.
