The farmer says take the crops, we'll grow more next year. The hunter knows that next year they take more. Or mabye its a cain/abel thing...All I know is that in a fight/flight situation my wings rarely work. The notion that gun laws will prevent criminals from obtaining firearms is a fallacy. I had my first gun before 18, it was a crappy little .380 with the serial filed off. Traded it for cash and hash because, If you're gonna live by the sword...you have to get one first. I can honestly say that someone coming into my house for my TV would certainly not pay with his life. He will likely end up paying the tooth fairy, actions have consequences. My faith in the legal system to mete out appropriate justice is not what it used to be. Since we are all inmates here I wont try and conceal my sociopathy, maybe I can rationalize it... Maybe we have a shortage of rose colored glasses. Maybe I look around and see people who share my malevolence but lack my restraint. Maybe I never learned to tend the crops. What do I use my gun for? Personal protection. The use of deadly force is only to address the EMMINENT THREAT of serious bodily injury or death or to prevent the emminent threat of bodily injury or death of others.
