I have a large div layer for all my content which scrolls, and I've used other div layers to position my headings, and have now realised that the headings don't move with the text when I scroll, since obviously those layers are stacked on top of the larger div and not contained within it.

I've checked the section of a site that actually taught me to do it in the first place and searched for quite a while in Google... But I can't find anything that tells me how to put a div layer INSIDE another div layer, so that it scrolls with the rest of the content.

Is this even possible? If not, how else might I be able to accomplish this?

But why on earth would you do that?

The headers should always be contained within the content, in the normal flow.

Well that's the problem... I obviosly didn't put enough thought into it and assumed that if I put the div layers with the headings over the layer with the content it would be INSIDE it... *blushes* I forget really obvious things sometimes...

I'm having dificulty figuring out what you are asking. A link to an example, or some code in your post would help.

Ok, so now the proper course to take would be to take a step back and fix the HTML, not find a work around for poorly planned mark-up!

Ah! I ran a test using some very simple div layers and they worked out exactly as I hoped they would, so I started messing with mine to work out why it wouldn't do it in that page and it turned out I had a div layer hidden somewhere that I didn't know about that was making everything go crazy when I changed the position of the close div tag!

I'm so sorry for wasting you're time, I'm such a doofus!!!!
