There were some issues at one point with NVIDIA and Slackware but they had a driver for it. I'll see if I can dig that page up somewhere. I really haven't had any problems installing any distro of Linux on new and old boxes. There was an issue at one point that I had but it turned out to be the CD's that I burned the ISO's on. So...kind of a silly problem but the installs would fail halfway through everytime. :( You really should have no problems as far as I can tell with that setup and running Slackware.
