Topic: website preview (Page 1 of 1)

Hi! I'm not really after a site review, rather a site preview. I'm wondering if the site I've made looks okay in most browsers. I know it looks okay in Firefox and Explorer. I viewed it in Opra on my father's computer, found a mistake, fixed it, but have not checked again in Opra. So Firefox and Explorer are the only browsers I know the site looks okay in.
Anyone want to check in other browsers for me?

Only thing I notice is that in my Opera 9, the text looks both smaller and heavier than in reiso's screenshot.

Love the image hovers, and I quite like the layout.
I personally probably would try a variant where the grey gradient between the page title and the black bar with the side name would only
extend within the content area... but hey, that's me.

The code is really pretty, I'd add the content heading to the title tag though, and maybe add some meta tags.
The alt tags for the images should probably be more descriptive... a grey mosaic fireplace says a bit more than just 'fireplace'.


And I found I can actually read Nrwegian - provided that is Norwegian... quality work for the right price

Thank you so much! Learned a few things there. Like making the site look good with a 800 x 600 resolution! I'll make some changes after the customer has seen and aproved the site. It also looks like the navigation doesn't work in IE 5.0!

I can't take credit for the image hovers. Found them here and changed color to fit my design. I also have thought about making the grey gradient only extend within the content area. I'll try it and see if it looks better.

And yes, you read Norwegian correctly!

the um uh hovers sorta work in 5.0, they're just not where they oughta be due to the box issues, I actually got hovers, they're stacked ontop of each other a little (overlapping) and inline instead of blocky

this is the best I can do for the moment with a 5 year old all up in my face
